What is a Celebrant-Led Wedding?
Think of it as your wedding ceremony, but without all the boring restrictions. Want to get married on a beach? In granny's garden? On your narrowboat? Around your favourite tree? Absolutely fine by me.
I'll craft your love story into a ceremony that's 100% tailored to you both. We'll weave in readings, poetry, rituals (handfasting, anyone?), bespoke vows, and probably a few laughs and teary moments. Your ceremony will be as individual and special as you are.
Both of you. And probably the dog; did I mention the dog? They can be great ring bearers!
But Is It Legal?
What About Registry Office Celebrant Registrars?
Some registry offices now offer "Celebrant Registrars." Sounds similar, right? It's not.
Here's what you get with them:
- No guarantee who'll actually turn up on the day
- One short meeting, very little time to get to know you
- Templates and pre-approved everything
- No spiritual or religious elements allowed (even if you want them)
- Can only perform ceremonies in licensed venues
- Strict time limits (late by 10 minutes? They can leave. Wedding ruined.)

Initial Chat (Free, No Obligation)
We meet in person or via Zoom to see if we're a good fit. If we are, I'll send over a contract and T&Cs.

Venue Visit
Once you've found your venue, I'd love to visit with you and understand your vision for the day.

Getting to Know You
We'll meet several times to really nail down the details. Music, readings, who you want involved, your vows, any rituals or special elements. This is where the magic starts.

Your Love Story
We'll talk about your hopes, dreams, and how you got here. I'll take all those wonderful details and craft them into your bespoke ceremony.

The Big Reveal
When the script is written, you can choose: hear it before the day, or wait to experience it with all your guests. Both options have their charm.

Your Wedding Day
I'll arrive at least an hour early to ensure you're both fine, calm any nerves, brief anyone doing readings, and coordinate with your photographer and videographer. I bring my own amplification if needed.
All that's left then is to share a small glass of something bubbly once you've caught your breath!

How far in advance should we book?
As far as possible! I take limited bookings to ensure each couple gets proper attention. Popular dates (especially summer Saturdays) book up quickly. That said, I've pulled together beautiful ceremonies with just a few weeks' notice when needed.
